i been using avast for a while now.
seems really good.
in fact i want to install it on the new netbook. when i can get the damn mcafee unstalled from said netbook. keeps trying to reinstall and reactivate itself :mad:

If you Google Mcafee removal tool you can download a file that will remove it.
and here at AV-C http://www.av-comparatives.org/images/stories/test/ondret/avc_od_aug2010.pdf it was shown to outperform Eset Nod32 among others.

I always think re world tests are better than comparatives as you have no idea what malware they are using and what overheads it puts on the system. I trust AV comparatives more but even then...., Eset may be bad now Norton great tomorrow Kaspersky better next week G Datat always seems to score high but whats the false positive rate in real world usage again, it all changes so quickly. Use what works best on your system and be happy with it, then use something else like Defence wall or Prevx :)
