Title: 3db Noise Margin!
Post by: Holodene on Nov 19, 2010, 22:04:27
It's a first...(for me anyway!)

ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 2159 kbps 507 kbps
Line Attenuation 69.5 db 43.4 db
Noise Margin 3.2 db 6.1 db

I have never seen my incredibly long long sync at 2Mb/s. It usually syncs at 1.6Mb/s max. I thought the minimum downstream noise margin was 6 db. :)

The router has held sync for over 46 hours and my IP profile is already at 1750k. I'm a happy bunny. :p

We've occasionally seen a 3NM  before on adsl2+ :fingers:

My router has been stuck at 3.6 on adsl2+ since I upgraded with no probs whatsoever.

Since subscribing to ADSL2+, my downstream NM has only ever been +/- 3db and my connection has remained stable (BT notwithstanding).
