Hoping someone can give me a few ideas on this small problem that started about 5 days ago. I can no longer access the net at home even though the phone is connected to the router, up until 5 days ago it was absolutely fine and has been for months.
Another strange thing is that if I go on the Play Store via my lappie I can select apps to install and they will be downloaded to my phone, so in that respect it is getting online
I have changed nothing really and I'm not a novice in dealing with my network at home. The phone will still connect to WiFi at work and access the net
I have factory reset my router and redone all the settings
Using Boat Browser but have also tried Dolphin, Firefox and Opera, same result
Factory reset the phone maybe.
Been done Glenn, reflashed with a custom rom with full wipe, the problem carried over
Can you access the net from another location, at work or in the pub?
http://androidforums.com/samsung-galaxy-s2-international/369720-why-will-my-samsung-galaxy-s2-not-connect-home-wifi.html has some tips
It still performs at work. Odd
As for the linky, it has no problem connecting to wifi at home or obtaining an IP. I guess I could increase the IP pool but I have about 50 I think already and I'm not using any form of MAC filtering
It doesn't matter if I use DHCP or set it as static, same result
As I say this is just a recent thing, it's been fine up to now
Have you checked for any malware on it, long shot but there are some nasties out there for some Android phones. Also saw this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1794927
Have also factory reset it this morning so that should have killed off any nasties
Can download stuff from the market, but browsers will not go online, won't even hit Google home page
Can you access https://encrypted.google.com/ ?
