Title: keep email after moving house
Post by: Magic Foundry on Apr 13, 2013, 14:05:26
Sorry, I know I've seen this question posted before but can't find it in a search. We've moved house (to the in-laws farm actually) the farm has a BT broadband account at the moment but I want to switch to Idnet, which is what we had at our old house. The question is can we keep our existing Idnet email accounts if we sign up for Idnet broadband at the farm.

Yes, your e-mail account will travel with you.   :D

I asked the same question in here and to support about when my daughter moved house and another provider and got this reply from the always helpful Miriam...

Hi Baz,

She certainly can continue to use the IDNet email account. She will need to change the outgoing SMTP mail server setting in her mail client to the new ISPs server, if she contacts them or checks on their website they should inform her what this will be. Alternatively she should be able to use webmail www.webmail.idnet.com at any time.

Kind regards,

Miriam

hope that helps Magic   :)
