So BT according to PC-pro are to cut the need to have an engineer install fiber at the property.

I would opt for the self-install if only to avoid a BT engineer screwing up my wiring. :laugh:
IDNet don't hold you to a contract so they would be unable to recoup the costs over a period of time. What is to stop someone signing up to IDNet for self install fibre then switching to Sky just one month later?
Actually, for Fibre, I believe it's a 12 month contract with IDNet, probably for that very reason. :)
Oh right. I can't say I'm interested because having used it at my son's in London, I don't see it any faster for browsing. Obviously downloading was far quicker. I think he gets 30Mb/s.
With you on that, Clive. For what I use the Internet for, I couldn't justify the additional costs involved for Fibre.
