Oh and does anyone know if you can use a windows 8 upgrade iso for a new install? If not, I will just clone the hard drive.

May the force be with you. And if that doesn't work there's always the option of a bigger hammer ;D

Hehe, I don't think I'll be using a hammer on parts nearly £1k worth  there might be a few swear words though  ;D

Well it's up and working.

A little problem though, new Hard Drive was DOA :( so I will get a SSD instead of a mechanical drive..

But until then, I'm using the hard drive from the old PC but that's causing a few issues at the moment so I might reformat it and start fresh.

The i7 3770k is a 3.5 GHz with boost to 3.9 GHz but mines boosting to 4.2 GHz  ???

I bought the hard drive from dabs.com and it was a WD 1TB Black.

It will be RMA on Monday for a full refund.

There's a chance for mechanical drives being damaged in delivery, the box it arrived in looked like someone played football with it :(

Yep, the box my motherboard, cpu and memory came in was also beaten up but luckily it was well padded inside.
