So, BT is giving itself a better deal than it gives to other ISPs, yes?  Is that surprising?

Shame they cant invest in more money for UK call centres and actually using engineers to install FTTC properly, rather than Subcontractors who leave VDSL modems on the carpet where they get very hot (happened to my mothers install) and they left the faceplate off where the cabling enters the property, in fact its missing so all the wires are pulled out it looks like a birds nest. Subcontractors like Kelly's are paid about £25 per install. Where's the incentive to do a good job if you get one of them, they just want to install as many per day as possible.
