Title: Question re cap
Post by: Noreen on Jul 16, 2007, 14:00:20
Re the IDNet download (5GB in my case) cap. Does it cover a 24 hour period? I wanted to know because this question has arisen on the freedom2support forum regarding other ISPs that people are investigating for migration. There's a mass exodus going on!

Welcome Noreen

Another mass exodus :o The cap is for downloads only but does cover the completed day, there is no unmetered time as you get with F2s

Hi Noreen,

Don't worry too much about usage, there is a meter on the customer account section and you will get warnings via email if it looks like you are getting close to limit.
Idnet will not cut you off for being over limit and are very fair about pricing for excess use. ;D

If you are on the home supermax package, there are peak/off-peak times, although they are for when you can use your allowence, and not free hours.

I wasn't concerned about my own usage, I don't download music or film or play online games. I wanted to post it on the freedom2support site because it appears to be something that people there are interested in.

At the moment a poll is being run there about where people are considering migrating. IDNet is second, equal with Zen. Adsl24 is first, however there haven't been many votes yet.  :)

We don't allow bad language in here, Noreen.  ;D
