Title: Landline call costs from Northern Ireland to Eire
Post by: MisterW on Jul 16, 2014, 19:11:20
Folks,
I wonder if there's anyone here who can help with a discussion over on the PlusNet forums ( http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,129108.0.html ). Basically the question is ' Are landline calls from Northern Ireland to Eire treated as national calls ?'
Now PlusNet say they are international but both BT and Sky (at least!) charge as national. We, the customers, are trying to find out if either PlusNet or BTw have it wrong!. All the info we can find indicates that BT Wholesale SHOULD treat the call as national but it's difficult to confirm that without the raw BTw data. So, as I assume IDNET provide their phone service via BTw as well, is there anyone here who can confirm IDNET's charges, and thus BTw's classification of the call, for such a call.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

NB I'm not sure if this is in the right place, so any admin feel free to move it if you think it would be better somewhere else.

We eventually got this sorted by someone in PN. Calls ARE classed as National calls for anyone who's interested.
