Title: iCloud phishing
Post by: Glenn on Oct 11, 2014, 07:01:21
I have never created an Apple ID or an iCloud account, but last night I received an email telling me my iCloud account needed re-verifying. The 'click here' link goes back through a French server for a water treatment company.

Dear Sir,

Your Αρρle ID has been υsed to log iCΙoud from an υnauthorized compυter.

I had the same email by the sound of it. Normally I would have dismissed it instantly but by coincidence I also received two legitimate emails from appleid@apple.com so I did check it out and domain from which it came recently expired. So yeah, a phishing attempt and at this point in time I'm wondering how they got hold of our email addresses because I don't recall it being a redirect from the IDNetters admin account?
