;) ;)
Seriously, I just posted this to show how good IDNet is.
Has anyone ever got over 7000?
Does this count?
:D
I know it's bogus, but it made me smile at the time.

I've seen speeds we would all die for, but that was Simon cheating. :)
When synced at 8128 you go onto a 7150 profile for which maximum Theorietical throughput is 6919 excluding overheads, so i'd say you're doing alright inactive!
He's doing so alright that I think he should share. :)
I know I am doing OK, but it is so frustrating that it will never go over the 7000 mark, yet it is so close.. ;)
ADSL2 is coming. :)

I find this very difficult to believe, but it's totally genuine, as just tested:

That shows you how reliable speed tests are. :)
Most of them work by faking a data transfer, consequently, they can be wide of the mark with their results if conditions vary. The only reliable speed test is to download a large file, eg a Linux distro, from a good server.
Not bad on a Attn of 59db.................................and over 6km from the exchange........
