Title: Fasthosts reporting major data breach
Post by: Rik on Oct 18, 2007, 15:26:21
El Reg (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2007/10/18/fasthost_police_hack_investigation/) is reporting that there has been a major data breach at Fasthosts.

"As a precautionary measure, Fasthosts has asked its customers to update their passwords. This includes their control panel, email, FTP, and database passwords, all of which can be changed via the customer control panel. Fasthosts has now implemented customer password encryption to further protect customer data."

Not been a good week for fasthosts - yesterday El Reg reported that Fasthosts have lost some emails after a error during server maintenance! The backup only had an estimated 50% of the undelivered emails!
