This new online player may be of interest, IE only at the moment. It has six different channels. http://www.classicfm.co.uk/Article.asp?id=528997&spid=
Interesting, thanks Noreen. :) I wonder how they fund it, given there are no ads?
I've no idea, Rik. I suppose they can use it as way of finding out directly what sort of music a listener likes. I'm not using it myself, I have my DAB radio playing most of the time and it is usually on Classic fm during the day. ;D
The attraction to me would be the lack of ads and the ability to tailor, but, like you, I've always tended to use a radio to listen to the radio. :)
Did you ever listen to the "Oneword" DAB channel? I did occasionally but I see it's now for the chop. Sad really. :(
I don't get that here, Noreen - we're quite limited in channels (also true for Freeview).

Also BB. ;D Well at any sort of speed, sorry, couldn't resist Rik ;D
Hopefully that'll improve come the great TV switch-over. :) I think that they should make the switch-over earlier instead of this dragged out business that's planned.

It should, Noreen, though we are in a slightly weird position of bordering two main transmitters, Oxford and Sandy Heath, and having a relay, which is actually weaker than either for us. :(

It does seem strange Rik that you live in the middle of the country and get such poor reception, I know Sandy Heath has always been a low power unit, I didn't know that Oxford is/was. :)

It's not that they are low-powered in particular, it seems to be more a case that Milton Keynes was an obscure village when the transmitters were laid out, and it falls into a bit of a hole. Even the broadcasters don't know which region to put us in...
Read that quickly Rik, it read;
Milton Keynes is a bit of a hole, can't argue with that.. :hehe:
Nor would I. :)
have they got a local shop ;D
MK is one big shop, Den. :)
It were called Bletchley when I were a lad.. ;D

It was when we first moved to Leighton Buzzard too. I can remember driving up here on roads that ran through grid spaces of nothingness...

I didn't know you lived in Late and be Buggered Rik....brings back some memories....Camden Motors.. ;)
The first house we bought was there, In. I remember Camden Motors rather well. A friend of ours came up from London, bought a car from them, took it back to our place where it caught fire on the drive!! :o We had some good times there, I got to photograph the interior of All Saints church before it burned down, and there was always George Ort's and their wonderful cream cakes. :)
Oh, and living there was hell with normal font sets as there were never enough Zs...
