Will flash ever work on iphone safari?

I know you can use youtube with the youtube app, but I'm talking about embedded content in webpages.

Unless Jobs has a complete turn about I think no. Obviously if you decide to jailbreak the problem is then solved.

As Steve has said. I've watched a couple of Steve Jobs interviews recently and unless hell freezes over its not going to happen in the near or not so near future.

Mind you, its rare that I find sites which rely heavily on it so I don't really think it is much of a problem.

Can you not get different browsers for it?  Would they not allow flash to work?

Unfortunately no, you still need to get the flash software on the phone.
