Interesting little article on Verisign here

Rik

It would be an interesting visit to be allowed to make. :)

Too right. I thought the security here was good, but from the sounds of it that place beats us hands down  :)

Rik

I'd also like to tour one of the AV companies and see how they operate.

Yeah - it would be good to see them in action, so to speak. Could we pretend be an official IDNet party?  ;)

Rik

Perhaps it might be possible to get together an official IDNet party if there was enough interest.

With the amount of political discussion that goes on here, I'm sure there would be, Rik. :P

Well I'd be willing for a shilling - Ok then - much less these days to be honest  ;)

I don't do parties.  All that dancing and stuff...

Yeah, but being green and a hoob, I do tend to stick out in a crowd anyway  ;)

Rik

I thought that was just excitement? ;D :out:

Dangerjunkie

Do Verisign register domains?

A friend of mine had a domain a few years back and I'm sure he said it was with Verisign. His site was quite popular with his friends and the guys at work. At the end of the first year he told me Verisign were claiming his domain was of high value because of the number of hits he'd had and they raised the registration fee for the second year to hundreds of Dollars.

If it is them then he made them sound like a nasty piece of work...

Cheers,
Paul.
