How long for a line to retrain ?

BT used cheaper Chinese components and were told of security risks as well, serious ones but it was way to late by then, a false economy as most people know if you spend more to start, generally you spend less later on as you should in theory have less issues, so far its a bit messy as BT took the easy option and kept its hands in its pockets, there is also only so much you can do to upgrade such a huge monopoly of a network, it was broken as it was being fixed sadly I think.

Yes there is mate i think it's £11 or so. I'm changing back myself due to similar issues, takes 5 working days. Good luck.

Thing is ADSL2+ seems to be one of those things where you don't know if it'll be any good until you try it.

You'd probably pay more in call charges with certain other isp's than the cost of a regrade in the long run, so not so bad if you look at it that way.

True Glen I got sucked into all the hype and really whichever way I look at it I will be paying for an upgrade which never was so no comfort there really I can think of better ways of spending the money.I cant see I have any choice in the matter I either stick with this with speeds which Tiscali were faster at times or I pay to go back to my old service .....Hobsons choice !

I'm more than happy to go back to adsl cos my speeds were great i've no problem with it at all. The way I look at it is me paying £11 for a regrade is nothing to what I used to spend in the bar drinking everyday. And I've still got my liver intact
