I'm sure you're still a sprightly young man about town in a "stop in the house" stylee  Rik   ;D

Getting more sprightly as the pounds come off, Mad. :)

be sure to manually clear C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome, it retains your usage history after the un-install

Thanks for that, Alan.  That was well hidden.   >:(

that's a good point diss - lots of peeps will no doubt try it, but if it doesn't immediately appear to be as good as the browser that you are used to, and know well, then it's gonna fight a losing battle pretty much.

let's face it - the vast majority of peeps who use IE use it because it's there and they know no better and those peeps ain't gonna suddenly start using chrome - the peeps who do know better already use firefox or opera - if chrome isn't appreciably beter than either of them (and it certainly doesn't appear so), then peeps ain't gonna stick with it.

I suppose only time will tell, but from what I've seen, I can't see Chrome being much more than a 10 minute wonder tbh.

It was on my machine a lot less than 10 minutes, Mad!  ;D

I think FF are updating the javacript version with firefox 3.1 the V8 used by Chrome is good but its still google and I wonder if it will go the same way as their web accelerator to name but just one failed idea. People do not need a multitude of browsers, only the more tech savvy even try these out, FF has all I need for now, but the Network prefetch next feature is something I turn off straight away.
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

Interesting read, So.  :thumb: I hate EULAs, there so much buried in them and they are so tedious to read.
