Almost certainly. Comparable Meridian products are in the £5K+ bracket without CD deck etc.

They are a luxury, Mad, but if you like music, they are worth it. I haven't tried a Quad in years, but the Meridian sound is the nearest you can get to being there, at least imo. Of course, it helped that I didn't have to pay for most of it.
