Wi-fi security on phones

I'd like to set up my phone to use my home broadband connection, and it needs the 63 character pass key.  Is there any easier way than trying to tap in all the alpha, numeric, and special characters one by one?

Yep, use a smaller key! I'm not really convinced of the benefits of the longer key where i am, but if you are in a densely populated area it may help you to be more secure.

You could try giving the phone and the pass key to a child, yours or someone else's. They'll have it done in a flash and then forget the key instantly.

Thinking about it, if you have it in a text file... connect your phone, copy the file over, open it, use the pencil key on the phone to highlight and copy and then see if you can paste that into the access point set up.

Tried that, Lance, but there's no paste option.  It's not such a big deal as I can use the mobile network.  I just wanted to see how it worked.

Ted's idea sounds a good one, although I defy anyone to type anything quickly on this phone!
