Firefox oddity

dont know if its just FF or something else but just noticed that if I click on a link in google either the number or next link at the bottom I see a small dot appear just above the link

Doesn't happen here with FF3.04, IE7, or Chrome

Yep, does that here too. FF 3.0.4 on Linux

It's definitely not happening on mine (FF 3.04 on Windows).

Can you post a screenshot, Baz? I don't think I'm seeing it, but I'd like to make sure I'm looking for the same thing as you're seeing.

Right, I see it only briefly as it steps though the pages of the search.

I have noticed this little dot for the last six weeks or so, using Firefox V3.03 and now V3.04. I had put it down to a pixel that they are using for some sort of tracking or statistics.

It happens both in WinXP and also Ubuntu Linux V8.10, both in UK and on Spanish Google, where I am now.

I'm not seeing it in Opera or SeaMonkey. Firefox does receive money from Google for searches, iirc, I wonder if it has anything to do with that?
