Removing email address from forum profile

Hi, can anybody tell me how I can remove my email address from the displayed items on the forum. I have the box ticked for hide from the public and always have had, but no amount of altering things in 'my profile' will allow its removal. You can't just delete the email address as you get an 'error has occured message you must enter an email address ' I can't seem to find an obvious 'contact administrator' or anything in the help files about it.

Your email address IS hidden from the forum and if I view your profile.

The reason you still see it when logged in is purely to show which address is logged with Admin.

Don't worry, you are not alone, I thought the same as you until the penny dropped..doh..

And when an admin looks at it, if its hidden it will appear in italics - if its public, it will appear in a normal typeface.
