OK - Not IDNet's fault - but still.

I migrated to IDNet from Orange (or at least I thought I did). Seems either BT or Orange forgot/didn't do something they were supposed to and jury rigged things so I went through Orange and back to IPStream with IDNet. No problems, so I didn't notice. The problem was repeated demands from Orange for payment for a service they no longer supplied, and after many calls to Orange CS they finally agreed to cancel my account. They issued a cease order which BT enacted - and now I have no BB.

IDNet are trying, but BT are still (on day 8 ) doing "diagnostics". Now to my mind, all they need to do is unplug a wire here, and plug it in there - so why am I still back on dial up. I'm beginning to wish I'd just gone through a straightforward cancel - wait 10 days - re-sign, wait 10 days manoeuvre. It would have probably been less hassle.

:'( :'( :'(

Hi again Dan similar thing happened to me with Orange last august i was lucky Miriam at IDNet was able to sort it a week after the original migration date hope u get it sorted soon mate

D-Dan

Miriam has been a diamond - but with no weekend CS I fear I'm waiting until at least Tuesday. I'm also waiting on word of who is to blame (BT or Orange) - because I'm off to Ofcom and the small claims court as soon as I know.

Long time - no update - but as of around 8 O'Clock tonight I'm back (dunno the precise time - my busiest day of the year so didn't get home until 22:40).

Anyway - BT admitted their fault, and the next round of fun starts trying to get them to compensate me for the £400 or so that this has cost me, but that's another story. At least - I'm back.

One question - it seems I was still plugged in to Orange equipment and they have essentially performed an accelerated (?) cease and re-connect on my line. Does this mean I now have to go through the whole 10 day training period again?

And in closing, I would publicly like to thank Miriam and Andrew at IDNet. I've been a pest (and forced them to be pests to BT in the meantime) - but I do appreciate everything they have done.

D-Dan

Not a lot, LOL. Between them, BT and Orange have done a good job of killing my enjoyment the last 4 or 5 months. Maybe the future really is bright now Orange are well and truly out of the picture :)

Hi Dan glad to see you are finally up and running or is it more like a jog?

Rik

It'll be a stroll in the park, surely?  :)

Well - compared with dial up it's the dash for the finish, compared with before the BT cockup, more of a brisk jog. Having said that, I'm back to the 10 day training period. Sync has been stable for 24 hours at 6208 so I expect to see a performance increase over the next week or so.
