Just lost connection for a couple of min. Anyone else have a problem ? Of course lost my sync rate as well now. I will try rebooting it in the morning.

Nerval

Well Bill, you always seem to be in the wars!!

I've had no problem and still synched OK, but I've just had a load of these on my router log, don't know if they're relevant.

FIREWALL icmp check (1 of 1): Protocol: ICMP Src ip: 69.248.226.42 Dst ip: 212.69.xxx xxx (my IP) Type: Destination Unreachable Code: Host Unreacheable

Hence I took out the enhanced care. My line realy is lousy.

old Bill

Well just lost connection again. Has someone got it in for me ? :-[

Rik

Yup. All we need to do is find out who...  ;D

Well rebooted the router again (Or should that be booted the router across the room :)). My sync was even higher this morning must be the new cable. It just needs to get a little bit higher for me to gain that extra download speed. Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]:   832 / 5,664

What do you want it for?  By the time exchange congestion etc etc takes its toll do these small diffs matter?

I'm just jealous really, as I stagger between 2000 and 2500 ...

If this is to belived I would like to reach this figure 5696 - 6239   5.0 Mbp

;D  or the weather; or the phase of the moon; or the wind; or chance; .

But if you get the higher speed Bill, then lose connection and reconnect at the lower one (as you undoubtedly will), then you'll only be disappointed.

Have you thought of taking a blowlamp to your cable to speed the electrons up a bit?
Or shouting encouragement? Offering £250,000 a week? Hiring a lifestyle coach for it? Becoming a mason? Threatening nasty things? Writing to your MP?  Putting it on the Broadband Offenders Register (along with Plusnet)? Giving it an ASBO?  ;D

4.5Mb isn't a bad speed though, is it?  ;D

old Bill

Its the old story more wants more. SAD I KNOW. No i am happy with 4.5 meg its just so close to that magic no. Perhaps I could get my wife to talk to it then it would do as its told (LIKE ME) ;D

Becoming a mason?

Becoming an Openreach engineer might be more helpful. :)
