El Reg reports that Orange mobile customers have had their problems today.

QuoteOrange subscribers have been hit by with an unidentified problem with the firm's mobile network that has cut them off from the internet today.

At lunchtime, Orange said it had a temporary fix allowing mobile phone and dongle users to get back online and that it was working on a full solution. It sent this statement:

We can confirm that some of our customers experienced difficulty accessing the mobile internet and mobile broadband this morning. We are working on a full resolution as soon as possible but customers should now be able to access the mobile internet.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Reg readers have also today reported problems accessing some sites such as YouTube via their Orange fixed line broadband. A spokeswoman denied any problems with the wired network. ®
