A baffling problem

I have a DLink G604T router. Attached via Ethernet cable is a Win 98SE box, and by wireless is a Win XP Home laptop.

Everything has worked fine for over 12 months. Now, for some reason neither computer is able to run the TBB Speedtest, Netmonitor.org tweaktest or dslreports tweak test!.

The errors: TBB speedtest loads OK when I click start I get a brief burst of throughput as the download/upload is displayed, then ** An error has occurred while testing **
A connection error occurred while testing. Please try again later.
Speed test stopped.

Netmonitor.org Tweak tester. The image doesn`t load, there is no traffic in either direction.

DSL Reports tweak tester. The java applet loads I click start, short pause then, " Failed to download: Read timed out"

All the tests have been done with AV and Firewall disabled.

The router has been reset to factory defaults, without any change.

Giganews test works OK. However speedtest.net downloads but won't upload.

Any help greatfully accepted.

Thanks for the suggestion. The problem has been fixed by switching routers. Now using Speedtouch 585v6 and all is well   

It's still a baffling problem why the G604T could be great at download speeds, yet be faulty.
