Mine is a 2012 Ford Galaxy, Gary, but only the basic version, which doesn't have a USB input.  It worked fine when I first had it, but then developed the issue intermittently.  I'm now wondering if it coincided with iOS 6.0?
Sounds like it, Simon. Maybe worth checking the Ford forums to see if there is an update out for it? I know Ford released one for problems with iOS 5

Will do, thanks Gary.  Incidentally, mine doesn't support Bluetooth Audio Streaming either, so it's the aux socket or nothing.

We have the Ford/Sony player in the Focus which supports bluetooth audio. Its a Titanium Model so maybe that's why but I thought it was standard on all Ford models now  :-\

Not sure if this will help, Simon. http://www.ford-mobile-connectivity.com/downloadsUpdates

Thanks, Gary, but that only seems to apply if you have Bluetooth and USB.  Mine doesn't have USB.  It's the bog standard Ford audio unit.

USB is the only available update method so your stuck on that head unit.

That's if an update is available.  I get the feeling this is the sort of issue that each side will blame the other for, and therefore won't get resolved.  There's nothing on the Ford forums that I can see that relates directly to the issue I'm having.

If you want decent satnav, get a satnav they have always been better than any phone really. My old Nokia's turn by turn would show us driving though fields sometime (we weren't)   ;D

Ironically TomTom helped with iOS 6 Mapping. I still think a dedicated SatNav is actually better though as thats all its meant to be, like HiFi separates each unit designed for one purpose alone, which seems to always function better than a multi-purpose one.

I'm enjoying playing with the Fingerpaint app on my iPad Mini. Anyone else tried it? It's not productive, just for fun.
