StStill no flash though Sebby  :( I would like to watch you tube and the bbc news clips that are flash based etc and without that I'm missing out on a lot of the nets rich content, Apple seem to be pushing their Quicktime more which reminds me of MS and how they push their versions of IE and make us view the web they want, if it had MMS and a Flash player and java it would be a truly great machine, I want to view the net and and have mini pc as much as I can, having Shazam as a app is not for me when i can just dial it and it will tell me the same thing, also for me having all my music on it is not a high priority, but the camera quality would be, so its swings and roundabouts, I love the screen the look, the design is flawless on the outside, but I cant truly view the internet in all its glory yet, Hopefully they may surprise me and fill all the holes in and make it a truly great device, but I will wait and see what this year brings. :fingers:

Flash is being worked on, but I really don't find it to be a problem, given that YouTube and BBC iPlayer are both support on the iPhone.

Its other sites Sebby that use flash, I'm glad they have worked on MMS now and copy and paste, but you still cant send vid clips and the camera is not up to scratch really, as I said if they had a 8MP camera 30fps video and a battery i can replace myself then happy days, the iphone really does catch the eye, but I need a few extras, on it and I would be there. The N86 looks great with its 8MP Carl Zeiss optics, wifi and the camera has variable aperture values and a 28mm wide angle lens, and I know the N97 comes with skype built in now as well and a 3.5" touch screen, and both handsets look gorgeous, thing is the price is excessive, over £600 foir the N97 sim free and over £500 for the N86 and in these troubled times are people really going to pay that price tag for these products?
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

Indeed it is a lot of money which is why to me contracts represent better value for money. I know you have a preference though for phones with firmware not touched by operators and i guess that is the premium you pay.

Apple give people products that are good to use, not that are necessarily cutting-edge in terms of the technology. I wouldn't want an N95/N96/N97 if you paid me; having spent time with Apple products, the interface seems clunky and unintuitive, and that's not the kind of product I want to use.

Lance

Thats the discussion i was having at the weekend with a friend who has a iphone. Whilst my n95 had all the same features and was technically better, the iphone makes the features more accessible and easier to use.

The new products have a new GUI which is very different Sebby to the old N95 style interface, which is slow. I am not meaning to put the iPhone down, its a great tool but just not what I would want in a handheld, and as you say its interface is clunky and unintuitive ;) :out:
