I understand the current problems, so am trying to download a few files via bittorrent but am getting absolutely nowhere. Are Idnet blocking bittorrent traffic or blocking seeding in any way?

A definite NO to that.
I've had torrents rushing down at Max speed today.

It will be one of the usual suspects:
Your ports aren't forwarded;
your IP is blocked by the site;
you are using the default port which is blocked by the site;
there are not enough seeds;
you are using a torrent client that is blocked by the site - utorrent is the best one at present;
you have too many torrents on the go at once;
you are running other things at the same time;
your upload speed is set too high - set it to 20kbps on Max for the best download

probably one or two others will come to mind, but it's not IDNet.

If you can't find the problem from that lot, come back and I'll try to help.

Good to hear. Everything was running smoothly then all torrents stopped at the same time, with the broadband problems, i just thought it was down to that. Pleased its not. Thanks

Unless you consider 500k a second torrents a problem, eat up that monthly allowance in no time!  :P

The most i have downloaded in one month with Plusnet is 18Gb so 30Gb is not a problem  ;D
