Afternoon all.

Anyone aware of connection difficulties?  I've had no connection for the last couple of hours.  All happily sync'd with the exchange but no connection beyond that.  Restarted the router in case it was a stale PPP session but no change.  I'm on GW5.

I was slightly surprised that no one else has posted about this yet, but then I realised the people affected can't connect to post anyway.  Doh!  Fortunately, I'm using the work-supplied 3G card, but thats only on my work lappy and she who thinks she must be obeyed is becoming increasingly agitated at the unavailability of facebook!

I am on GW5 and can connect, but my ping is really high. Not much help to you but if you have no connection is it BT working on your exchange?
True power doesn't lie with the people who cast the votes, it lies with the people who count them

Hi Bruce

How long did you power down for? It needs to be at least 2 minutes, preferably 15.

Ah, jolly good point Rik.  It was a quick re-start.  Been so long since I've had connection issues that I've forgotten all this!

Just turned the router off, and I'll give it 15 minutes.

BTW - discovered that having 2 PC's running on the desk is really frustrating - keep trying to move the pointer on one screen using the mouse for the other!  ::)

;D Been there, done that, Bruce. It's at its worst on MS patch days, where I'm running three machines simultaneously. :stars:

Success!  Thanks Rik.

Thanks, Bruce. The stale session can take a few minutes to 'break down'. We're seeing a lot of these, atm, generally caused by BT work at exchanges.
