Hi,

I recently requested an email address for my wife's new laptop which I got ok.

Problem is that all my e/mail is going to her laptop as well as my pc.Is there a way this can be overcome?,so that she can only receive email addressed to her?.

TIA       Alan

Remove your email account from her laptop? :)

In Outlook Express go to Tools/Accounts/highlight your account/click 'remove' from menu on right. Simples ;)

Hi

thanks for reply,I am using Mozilla thunderbird,I have removed my acc from her laptop but now it will not fetch any mail.I have configured her acc the same as mine but with her email address instead of mine.Perhaps someone could take me through the config in case I have missed something. TIA

Sorry Alan I have no idea how MT works as I have never used it :( Some of the 'brains' will be along soon, hang on in there ;) They are probably having their afternoon nap ;D

I'm not a TB user either, Alan, but all mail clients are fairly similar, they need to know the inward (POP) mail server name, the outward (SMTP) mail server name, the email account name, the login name and the password. If it worked when your account was there, but collected both sets of mail, but now doesn't work at all, then I am wondering whether it's possible that you deleted more than just your account?

There's a setup guide for TB available:

I wonder if you have used the same email account name and password for both, but just used a different 'reply to' email address?  The giude Rik linked to should help.  :)
