Now, here's something new.
Just been perusing router status/statistics   Line Attenuation and ...
suddenly changed from 21.0db to Showtime db & 10 seconds later, back to 21.0db.
Has Netgear joined the X Factor???

Same power supply as the v5, I have a spare of each, the V5 was given to me, it never performed as well as the V4 though, attenuation and snr always seemed messy, and throughput was not so good. If you want to try a version 4 to see PM me and I'll post it to you, so you can see if it makes a difference  :) The v% is a preproduction unit so the final power supply may be different, but I see more issues online with 2 Wire PSU's than Netgears, the v4 uses a super tiny one and I never had issues with it, not like the big transformer types of earlier units like the V3.

I'm not sure about that, but the v5 has an inferior Connexant chipset (the v4 uses Broadcom).
