Hi all

This is a bit of an odd one - ive been with IDnet for about 4 years - and this issue has suddenly started

I have an account with Next.co.uk - but now I cant view any of their products - the website just hangs

I can view the accounts page - the item subjects - but as soon as I click on  a t-shirt/suit etc it just hangs

I CAN see the items on my PC at work - but my 2 pc's at home and 3 different browsers wont load the page

e.g.     http://www.next.co.uk/shopping/branded/fashionforhim/12/5?extra=sch&n=branded&pid=702-993&exclude=00WB00|00W00&returnurl=/shop/atttype-tshirt-atttype-top-gattgender-men-cat-tops-0%3fnxti%3d0%26nxtv%3d000%26isort%3dbst&bct=%26quot;Shop%20By%20Product%26quot;%26nbsp;%26gt;%26nbsp;T%20Shirt%26nbsp;%26gt;%26nbsp;Top%26nbsp;%26gt;%26nbsp;Men%26nbsp;%26gt;%26nbsp;Tops

The item above loads at work but not at home???  is this an idnet issue or a router issue or some other reason

Im confused

Thanks
Ian

Hi Ian and welcome to the forum. :welc: :karma:

It could be a routing issue, it could be a firewall issue. Let me check and get back to you in a couple of minutes.

With that link I get a Firetrap® Blue Racing Logo T-Shirt, is that correct?

This is via OpenDNS

Mmm. Working fine here, this is what I see. What browsers have you tried, what OS are you using at work and at home, what security software are you using?

That's what I get Glenn no DNS issues as far as I can tell

Bizzare - the page just hangs - yet the previous page works fine  - it seems to happen for all items - i can view the overview page but not the item - not just this item but ALL items - and only on Next

Ive tried   Internet explorer   Firefox and Chrome on my laptop and my desktop

Im using windows 7 with AVG version 9 and ad-aware free

Maybe ill turn both of these off and see what happens

Glenn

Try this;

Open the command prompt and type the following:

C:\>ipconfig /flushdns

After it has run try the page again.

Didn't we have an issue with someone else having next problems a while ago, Glenn. I'd search, but my haggis is calling...

I have 2 PC's

a laptop connected wirelessly to the Netgear router and a desktop connected via powerline

the fact this issue is with both pc's suggests a router issue? unless an application is blocking them

I guess its not the end of the world - just odd stuff like this bugs me lol

Thanks, Glenn. I may be wrong, just some vague stirring at the back of my head.

Strangely when i Use my iphone - connected wirelessly

The pages hang for  2/3 mins - but they eventually load and are viewable

The exact same pages just hang and never load on either pc

my head hurts

Sorry, I can't help, Ian, but  :welc:  :karma:

Just a lame suggestion, but have you tried clearing your cache and any Next cookies you can find?  :dunno:
Simon.
