Hi guys,

IDNet seems to have a good score on review center website.

Im looking for an ISP that wont throttle my bandwidth in the evenings, as BT do.

I like to download lots of content, and have option 3 with BT.

In the evenings between 5pm and 11pm they slow my download speeds down to 15kb/s - which is disgusting.

Do IDNet do the same?

Thanks

Glenn

IDNEt do not throttle or block any ports, I have a poor line on ADSL max, it connects at 2.9mb, but this is my current download speed

The download limits have recently been reviewed and now allow more bandwidth.

:welc: :karma: The only congestion I see is due to my local BT exchange being over subscribed otherwise I
get a full throughput

Idnet give you a monthly bandwidth allowance in your price plan, you can exceed the limit if you wish and pay £1 per gigabyte extra.

Idnet do not complain if you exceed the limit and even let you know if you are heading towards the extra charges.

There is no throttling of any kind on any port and normally there is no contention within the Idnet infrastructure.

Another important point to remember is the 1 month contract, you can leave at anytime.

However, if you join Idnet expect to stay a very long time, there really is no reason to leave now we have the new allowances built into the tariff.
