Hey guys,

Hope I'm not speaking too soon, but I'm coming up to that 'magic' 14 days and wondering if I can expect a 3db drop with these stats.

Too many errors?

Cheers.

They don't look too bad to me, qweezy, but BT are a law unto themselves.

Thanks.

Will have to see what happens if I get to the 14!

Im pretty happy though as I think this is longest I have held sync for years.

Top notch advice on getting the 2700 ;).

Rik

Hang on till at least day 15, qweezy, as BT also count differently to the rest of the world. ;) The 2700s seem to have been a boon to so many of us, it's a shame they're not sold 'officially' in the UK.

Okay thanks.

I'll post back in a few days to report any changes!

Fingers crossed :).

I saw the 2700's for sale on Dabs once a year or so back.

They are nowdays, used to be independant but BT brought them a few years back

Rik

That could explain them having stocks of the 2700 to sell...

qweezy

No changes and slightly lower sync :(.

Rik

Have a word with support, they'll be able to check your line stats and see if there's a reason.

Is there any way the Target Margin can be reset?

psp83

Ask support  ;D

They got BT to move mine from 15 to 9 but the exchange soon put it back to 15 a few days later because of small errors on the line.

Rik

What Paul said, qweezy. IDNet can get BT to force the changed, but if it gets kicked back up, it's very rare for BT to do it again.

qweezy

Hello again.

Emailed support which replied incredibly quick (4 minutes ;D) and the request has been put in for 'unbanding'.

Apparently this should go through later today!

Top marks for support, didnt even have to make a phone call!

More fingers crossed that I can hold at a lower Target Margin.

When should I expect the 'Unbanding'?  Also, do I need to reboot the router for it to take effect?

I haven't seen it drop from 15db yet.

Thanks.
