Google Mail seems to be taking an awfully long time to respond lately. Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me?

It must be something at my end then. S'funny - I've no problems accessing other mail services.

I've just deleted the 800 or so messages in the spam folder. It seems to be running faster now

Hundreds of spam messages (in the appropriate spam folder) have never affected the outstanding service I have received from gmail. To be honest I cannot fault gmail over the past 4 years +, it has been brilliant and run without a hitch, great!

Their spam filter is exceptional

I only get about 5 a day at most, Gmail is not exactly the pinion of privacy though

I get zero and can count on maybe two hands the number I have had over the 4+ years. The privacy thing is, to me, not a problem and hasn't proved to be over a long period. As I say, can't fault the gmail package.
