Why did you leave? Work?

Simon

I was a child when I lived there, from about 3 to 13, so didn't have much choice about having to move.

Gary

I like the Isle or Wight I have some good friends there, the place has a special feel if you fit in with the locals, more a community than the mainland
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

Rik

Islands tend to have that effect, Gary, though it can become intrusive.

Out in the sticks in Ireland it is like that too.

We went to stay with some family friends and I was awoken one morning to the sound of someone shouting Hello, Hello!

It turned out to be a cousin of one of the people we were staying with but it was definitely a culture shock for me.

Rik

It could have been worse, Mitch, it could have been a leprechaun. ;)

A bit like very small villages where your every move seems to be known by people that know your name even though you have never met them!
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

Registered my interest in taking FTTC with Zen and they've come back and said that BT have no planned date for installation/activation.

Checked ID's checker too and that says the same

:(

Rik

What happened to December, I wonder?

Or maybe the engineers are laying it but BT haven't yet decided when to switch the cabinets on.

Rik

They're tossing a coin. ;)

Sam Knows not showing an FTTC activation date for my exchange  :(

Maybe he just doesn't know.  ;D

Glenn

Isn't your exchange is on a trial Mitch, so it possible won't be publicly announced?

I know they were trialling FTTP so maybe I'll get 100 Meg instead provided Zen will service it as I'm not moving to BT for it.
