As a potential IDNet customer I was wondering about actual install timescales of ADSL Max and a phone line?

Going to be moving house around the 3rd week of September and the house we are moving into has a BT phone line and BT ADSL as some description. These will obviously be ceased on our move in day but with enough notice can IDNet get a phone line and ADSL working on the same day?

If it make any difference its a Market 1 exchange  :(

Many thanks

Steve

Simple answer is yes as long as you inform them that you require broadband as well at the time of ordering.

Many thanks for the welcome and your prompt reply, IDNet almost sounds too good to be true ...

Having been stung by poor ISP's in the past it was refreshing to find so few negative comments about IDNet, bar issues caused by BT. :thumb:

Should you go with  BT for the phone you can still get simultaneous broadband activation if they are notified on ordering.  They then give you the relevant details to pass on to the ISP

:karma: shevans :welc: There are a fair few INDet users, that have been with the company for a while, 4.5 years for myself. For the most part, as the advert says, They do what it says on the tin.

Welcome, Shevans, another long term resident here. :welc: :karma:

If you can run to it, pay for 12 months on the service(s) you go for. You actually only then pay for 11 months, get the lower rate of VAT for an extra 8 months and can still walk away with 30 days notice and a pro rata refund.

Thanks for the tip, quite a saving, although a new line install at £110 plus the £428.78 might be a stretch too far for the housing moving fund!

Rik

I appreciate that, just thought I'd mention it as the saving will be quite significant. I'm still paying 15% VAT myself. :)

You can get a new BT line installed for £29.99 - http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/consumerProducts/dynamicmodules/pagecontentfooter/pageContentFooterPopup.jsp?pagecontentfooter_popupid=24641

It does tie you into an 18 month contract though.

You shouldn't need to pay anything for a new line. You already have a line, it will only have been stopped and there should be no charge to restart it. Well at least the voice side anyway!, there will probably be a charge to put ADSL back on it.

shevans

Many thanks for everyones help, although now undecided to use BT or IDNet for the phone ::) line At least I know I should be back on-line quickly.

Steve

I think you should to talk to support, you'll find them very approachable.
