Hi,

This is what I am getting with my 2Wire at the moment.  I never seem to connect higher than 2.2mb.  This hasn't changed over holding sync for around 20 days.

Is the line being capped or something?  Up until this started I had no issues connecting at very close to the max rate.

Thanks.

BT do have the facility to band adsl2+ connections, this seems to occur when there are signs of instability and/or high error rates. The upper limit for your sync would be around 2272 if you have been placed on a banded profile. Check with support they will be able to tell you and advise.

I'm currently on a banded 500 K connection for some reason.

I'm heading back to ADSL1 tomorrow, happy days!

500K?  :eek4:
I use to have a signature, then it all changed to chip and pin.

pctech

I'm really hoping I can get in on the FTTP trial and wave goodbye to a line I don't really need and a transport technology that should have been written off as a bad idea.

Rik

What, BT write off an upgrade path that will make them money? ;D

Soooooo basically there isn't anything I can do about it?

Talk to support, see what they say.

I'm terribly sorry for hijacking your thread qweezy, hope you get it sorted out quickly.

qweezy

No worries pctech.

Emailed support and they have requested that BT reset my line, which should happen in the next 24hrs.

Fingers crossed.

Steve

Did they whether you'd been banded?
