Next question :)

How "big" is IDNet? I mean both in terms of number of subscribers (although they may well like to keep this vague for business reasons), percentage of market, and how many actual employees.

The answer isn't likely to have much bearing on wether I sign up or not, I'm just curious.

Regards

Glenn.

and how many actual employees.

Well... There is Simon, Tim, Andrew and the lovely Miriam that I can think of of the top of my head! I'm sure I've missed someone out though!

You're right, Docproc, that the figure is not widely know (if at all). There are certainly more people than the ones we get to talk to, which Lance has enumerated. In addition, their client list reads:

Association of Electoral Administrators
Accenture
BBC
Blue Diamond Group
Caterham Cars

Simple answer really is that they are big enough to do the job and small enough to give a service that is hard to match.

I have recently had some strange issues with speed/connection/surfing problems and fluctuating router stats.

Idnet have bent over backwards to try to resolve this;they lent me a brand new router to test the line, the MD phones from his home on a Bank Holiday,Miriam has got BT to send specialist engineers to check the line and all the equipment here, and there have been daily phone calls to check up too.

We are still not sure if everything is resolved as BT now say they see nothing wrong ( which is odd as they saw enough to send an engineer) BUT an hour after their visit here things suddenly changed for the better..........hmmm.

Other than that the best thing to do is ask them, they are remarkably open and approachable.
