Any problems tonight?

Having trouble loading sites, including this forum.

Rik

None that we know of, Paul, unless you're being affected by the Peterborough BRAS problem.

As you can see with the graph, I'm getting packet lose at the mo..

And getting this in the browser

When I do a tracert, I get the following when its playing up.

C:\Users\Paul>tracert www.thinkbroadband.com

Tracing route to www.thinkbroadband.com [80.249.99.130]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

  1     *     192.168.0.1  reports: Destination net unreachable.

Trace complete.

Rik

Would it be worth a router re-boot or a flushdns, Paul?

A router reboot is off the cards for tonight as I don't want to be re-syncing at 1mb  :-\

I've already tried the old ipconfig /flushdns and didn't show any signs improving it.

I'll reboot in the morning and if its no better I'll try my other netgear router.

Rik

I can't think what else to suggest, Paul, given we have no other complaints. It may be an exchange issue that hasn't been reported yet, of course.

I'll see how it goes tonight and if I have to change routers over then I will but I really don't want to do that tonight.

psp83

The router keeps powering down and on again as my sync keeps getting lower and uptime resets..

Time to change routers I think.

I see you are using Chrome, have you tried Firefox or IE?

Yeah, but its not a browser issue, something is wrong with the router.

I've now lost 1mb from my sync now with the router keep powering on/off.

I've turn't it off for about 30mins to see if that helps.

pctech

Try a factory reset incase the firmware is going a bit bizarre but sounds like it could be dying.

Rik

Definitely, possibly the PSU is on its way out.

I'm having issues seeing some sites. I didn't bother noting which as I thought it was due to me downloading a game through steam. Now I can't see Facebook at all and just got this message:

Service Unavailable - DNS failure
The server is temporarily unable to service your request. Please try again later.

Although, this may just be coincidence and it could be Facebook themselves, as Youtube, etc is working fine. Twitter was a bit sluggish, but seems okay now.

I'm getting the same message for Facebook.

[EDIT] I think Facebook is down for everyone but then again http://downrightnow.com/ also seems to be down right now

Perhaps they are migrating data to new machines in one of those data centres they keep building.

Big thunderstorm here. Probably not affecting any connections though. Unless the rain keeps coming. Then the whole town will be under water!  :eek4:

We're currently experiencing some site issues causing Facebook to be slow or unavailable for some people. We are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.
