OK, quick question here:

As part of my NM monitoring process I have been constantly running RouterStats Lite.  I happened to be sitting at my PC when I made a phone call.  I instantly saw the NM jump by about 2dB.  After a while it stated to drop, then once I hung up, it want back to its previous figure.

What do I try/look at first?

Please note that I only use my phone once in a blue moon, so it's not that which has caused my other flutucations/disconnections.

First of all try replacing your filter.

We have seen instances where temporary increases in margin during a phone call were due to a line fault any increase in noise during a phone call i.e faulty phone or filter would cause the margin to fall usually

Out of interest, I just unplugged the phone from the mains and also from the phone socket (nothing else plugged into the phone line other than the filter and router), and when the phone rang (through my mobile earpiece) my NM dropped by 2 to 3 dB!

No disconnections though.  Time to change filter too.

hope you don't have the same issues i'm having.. whats your overall connection profile like? stable?

Depends on the router as to how stable it is.

Waiting for my 2700 to arrive so I can test that.
