Hi

The problem we are now getting very frequently is that we are connected to the router wirelessly but we cannot connect to the internet.  It happens on all the computers trying to connect.

I can now see the difference to this and the problem we have when the red light goes on on the router as happened when the IDNet servers went down recently.

Does anyone know why this happens and what we can do.  The box in the task bar at the bottom says that they are trying to connect to the IP address but then the little icon gets a red cross against it and then "this page cannot be displayed".

All our internal wiring has been checked out by a independent telecom engineer.

Hi
Are all the computers using wireless? If yes, have you tried connecting one with a network cable (RJ45)?

I'm assuming you have rebooted the router?

There's no place like 127.0.0.1

As Ted says, wire the computers. There is an awful lot of Netgear routers out there where the Wireless feature just suddenly falls over.

Either that or give each wireless connected device  a static IP address or alternatively ensure that the DHCP server always gives it the same reserved address on connection.

Plus change the wifi channel a neighbour may be on the same channel and causing interference.
