Opera Mobile is available for Android.

All the mobile and mini (one for mobiles, one for smart phones ) versions of Opera I have used have been ace. Many features, very powerful and extremely good browser render. Not had any trouble with rendering any pages AFAIR in Opera. Where as default or IE versions are just so bad, they are unusable IMO.

I'm not sure if Opera use a slight proxy though. So not sure if the login features always work on sites, as they use your IP at times, cookies should be fine though.
