Moving domain name

Here's the deal, I built my website for a new business venture initially using a free domain from .cz.cc, and free hosting at 000webhost. Things were tickety boo, website accessible and email working. However, I decided that a .co.uk address would inspire more confidence, and so registered the domain name using 123-Reg. I've been able to point the .co.uk address to the host and the site is working fine. Pointing the .cz.cc address to the same site didn't appear to work so well, so for now I've put a simple redirection page there, which is also working well.

Whilst moving things around, I elected to move email to Google, and the .co.uk address is now sending and receiving email without problems. I removed the old .cz.cc email address and pointed MX to Google (at both the registrar and at the host) and created the corresponding alias at Google to send mail to the .co.uk address. MX on .co.uk at the host is set exactly the same way, so I know it's working. However, emails sent to .cz.cc vanish into the ether - no bounced messages etc on sending, just nothing.

Could it be that I simply need to wait for MX to propogate and then things will start to magically work, or am I missing something along the way.

I did have similar problems with my on site contact form, though this seems to have sprung into life this morning (I think - the only test so far is myself, and results may be scuppered by the whole localhost thing - really need an external message to be sure), although I don't know if this is because of propogation or changes I have made (I've been doing a lot of stuff to get the site right, including tweaking the php scripts).

Any ideas?

My domain is registered with 123-reg and pointed at my own email server at home. I've found that the dns settings propogate very quickly. Mind you, I expect it would vary in each case.

Well, decided to try something a a little different. I've removed all MX and A pointers from the .cz.cc domain name and pointed the nameservers to 000webhost, then at 000webhost I've parked the .cz.cc doman name on to the .co.uk UK. Give it all chace to kick in and see if it fixes the problems  :fingers:
