If it's ok I'd like to post up the site I made for my local business and see if you have any feedback. Its a work in progress but I'm adding stuff daily :)

Will be adding IDNet to affiliates and a link to idnetters for support for idnet customers :)

I don't think this is based as advertising as its only for the local area, but I won't be offended if its removed if so :)

Go ahead, criticize it   :P

The most important items of all are missing at the moment.

Your postal address, a telephone number and a proper email address.   I think it is a requirement for businesses list their legal address and the sure sign of a dodgy outfit is one that carefully omits all it's contact details from would-be customers.    Visitors see the contact form as you being afraid of customers being able to trace your company.

Looks fine to me :) I would assume you will have a list of sample charges ?  because the phrase no charge for work not done, rings alarm bells for me

The font for 'keeping your it up to date' looks wrong to me, its almost spider like and a little to feint , I love the clean design, not sure of the term 'I Partake' could sound a little odd...'I don't usually partake but in this in this case pass me the monkey brains' its just the wrong term to use, so is 'technicality' I would have said depending on the 'technical expertise of the client' it sounds a bit aloof I think, and also 'technicality' sounds like something you get off on a court case with  ;) The rest I like.
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

Hi Sam

I think you need to tell people to enter the captcha on the contact form, not everyone will have seen one before.

On the about page, you need some re-writing, imo:

Zenon Computer Services was founded in 2009, by myself me, Sam James, when I discovered that I could turn my passion about computers into a service to help others. My goal is to help customers achieve total satisfaction, providing as much value for money as possible, whilst ensuring the customer understood all processes underway – describing it at varying levels of technicality.

At Zenon, we believe customers should not be kept in the dark on what is happening, which is why we also like to educate our users as so that simple problems can be avoided in future by appropriate improved understanding. We also like to provide various options solutions for each problem. We also firmly believe that if a problem is not fixed, the customer should not be charged a penny.

As the owner of Zenon Computer Services, I believe it is important to keep up to date with both computing practises practices and computing hardware/software. T, as these are constantly changing. At this point in time I am in the last year of my HND in Applied IT. Along with this I also partake participate in various technology forums in order to keep my knowledge in the matter as up to date as possible.

I've used strikeout and italics to indicate changes. Note that there's some additional punctuation, which you'll have to look hard for. :)

I find the second sentence of the first para a bit unwieldy, so you might want to consider a different approach, eg:

My goal is to provide customers with total satisfaction in resolving problems they have with their computers. I do not believe in wrapping the cause and cure in mysticism and jargon so I will ensure that customers understand what needs to be done, and how it will be achieved, explaining the issues at a level of technicality which the customer is comfortable with. Ultimately, I aim to provide value for money.

Rather than comment too much on the look and feel of the site, I'll make a few observations that may (or may not ;D) be of some use.

WordPress is great for promoting an organisation's web presence and there's a lot you could do to promote it further. Dynamic content will help ensure return visitors, that should be on the front page and linked to a subscribe facility. You should create new content regularly, preferably on the landing page (rather than buried on the blog page) and add bookmarks to social networking sites. You want to be able to target your customers so add a subscribe plugin/widget so that you can build a database of email addresses. As you are trying to sell IT services you should blog about them. Quality, dynamic content will bring people to your site and ultimately bring in business.

Affiliate links should really be on the front page and not buried deep within the site. Very few people will deliberately go in search of advertising so if you want to earn income from them, they need a more visible presence. Add an RSS feed to your site and anything else you can thing of to encourage visitors to return. Your site appears to be one column. I'd consider adding widgets and if your current theme doesn't support them, consider changing it now. You can use them for easy placement of affiliate links, a subscription facility, RSS feed etc.

I'm guessing your site is very much still under development but you really need much, much more about the product as at the moment I have no idea what it is you are trying to promote and who is your target audience. That should be made very obvious to the visitor from the first moment they hit your site. At the very least you need a link on the main navigation bar to all your services coupled with a price list.

If you are serious about using your site to generate income I'd also recommend taking out a short subscription to a stock photo site and bleeding them dry for the duration of that subscription. Pictures really do sell products and services but only if they are professional.

Thanks :)

I have made some changes and have somebody working on the logo for me.

If possible I would also put a landline number in addition to your mobile as it might give nervous customers more confidence as there's a lot of cowboys out there.

For an I.T. company, your website is the showcase for your technical abilities and services, yet you use an Idnet email address.

Would you want your I.T. needs met by a company that can't manage to provide email facilities on their domain ?

I also note your site is hosted on a softlayer technologies server in the States.

If you are going to post affiliate links to IDNet might it be wise to have your site hosted on their servers?
