Just got a message from a friend of mine on vodafone saying she was trying to ring me but it just wasn't connecting.

Tried ringing my mobile from my desk phone (at work at the mo) and its fine.

Before I ring O2 can anyone else confirm the problem, I've made an outbound call to 'activate' the new account so it cant be that as otherwise call from my desk phone would fail too.

SIM is also correctly inserted.

Funnily enough, I had an oddity with O2 today.  My clock went forward by one hour, and was like it all afternoon.  I've just switched from auto to manual, then back to auto, and it's fine now.  :dunno;

I'll put it down to changes working through the system, seems to be working now, colleague on Voda tried my number and works ok.

Thanks for the offer of help though Rik.

Got a text from O2 about 2.40 saying 'you are all set up on O2 Pay Monthly, to use it you may need to switch your phone off and on again'

Windows based Home Location Register and billing system perhaps?

They sent me a new SIM but you could be right, maybe that was the problem.

Have also cancelled and reset the diverts to voicemail.

It was probably because all the billing is still being set up, was quite surprised at the speed of the changeover though, had it been BT would have probably been looking at 10-14 days or weeks.  ;D

My friend that complained I was unavailable on Saturday finally contacted me today.

I reckon it was her phone.  ;D
