My connection used to be stable for months, but recently my router has re-synced fairly frequently - e.g., just about 5 minutes ago and, before that, on Tuesday at about 4:45 pm.  I lose my ADSL and PPP connection while it's re-syncing, but my IP profile hasn't changed - the only difference I can see is that, since this started happening, I've lost my fast latency and gone onto interleaving.

Is anyone else experiencing this?  I'm on the Brixton exchange.  I haven't changed any router settings.

Steve

Any chance of your router stats and a BT speedtest. The imposition of interleaving sounds like an issue between you and the exchange.

I had that happen for a couple of weeks in June, then the line stabilised again. There was no obvious fault, just noise, which I put down to BT work in the area in the end.

Router stats (hope this is what you wanted!):
Upstream    448000
Downstream    7616000

SNR Margin    downstream 13.0 dB    upstream 24 dB (unchanged)
Line Attenuation    downstream 28.0 dB    upstream 13.0 dB (unchanged)
CRC Errors    17    0

I started having this trouble in late May and contacted IDNet about it - at that point I'd done a BT speedtest, and here's what I wrote:
'My router disconnected and re-synced last evening, and, presumably as a result, my profile has changed for the first time in years.  I had fast latency and a 7150 profile, which is now interleaved and 6500.  Have just run a BT speedtest with these results:
Download speed achieved during the test was - 5712 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 600-7150 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :7616 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 6500 Kbps'

As mentioned, I had had a rock solid connection syncing at 8128000 with fast latency for years.

PS I did a further BT test a few weeks later, on 19 June:

Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test:  -provides background information.

Sorry - ignore! - info now added to previous posting

Rik

Profile is too high for the sync speed, can you run another test please.

I wonder if the router/power supply is on the blink, the stats and speedtest look fine to me for an interleaved connection and you've plenty of downstream margin.
