OK this is a  stupid question, but how would I know if I had a virus on a windows laptop? I have windows security , and am very careful where I browse and what I open.

Also my bank keep telling me to download and install trusteer rapport, so I have. Does anyone know anything about it? It just looks like it gives you extra protection.

Sorry for my stupid questions.. still a bit lost on windows after always using a Mac

Trusteer Rapport I used to use on the Mac , (it's not yet compatible with 10.7) I think it's a useful security tool for online banking and I've not seen any issues with it.I think the chances of you contracting a virus on an fully patched Windows PC with sensible browsing and an up to date AV are very remote.
