Windows Time distribution does not seem to be working as I discovered when I found that my clock was running two minutes fast.
Apparently it has been going wrong for some time now and is currently not available.
If you double click on the task bar clock and then select the "internet time" tab there should be a tick in the "automatically synchronize" box (unless you've previously unchecked it).
Try the "update now" button and you will probably get an error message.
If you change the source on the drop down list from "time.windows" to "time.NIST.gov" and then update now it will undoubtedly work, so keep it on this setting - its more accurate anyway.

I used to have that problem (the error message) with XP and Vista but it seems fixed with Windows 7.
