Some time ago I posted about the effect a neighbour's TV had on my noise margin. When he turned it on my margin went down to 6dB and when he turned it off it went up to 16dB.  It was concluded that very little could be done and I learned to live wth it and the low sync, profile etc it resulted in.  However yesterday I noticed that my margin had stayed at 16dB all day and in the evening checked that he had his TV on and my margin was still 16dB.  Same again this morning.  Spoke to him a short while ago and asked him if he had a new TV and was surprised to hear that it was the old one and nothing had been changed his side.  I am at a loss for an explanation.  Has anyone any thoughts? It is a Samsung 40inch+ plasma TV and as I can see when it is on or off I am 100% confident that the TV is implicated. :confuse2:

Has he changed anything connected to it, eg a Sky box?

Nothing changed. When he told me he did not have a new TV I asked him specifically had he or anyone else changed anything and he assured me nothing had been changed. It does seem that my noise margin as seen on Routerstats is a lot more stable than I have ever seen. 6.6dB to 5.7dB since I rebooted the router at 10.30 this morning which is remarkably stable compared with earlier.  Could BT have done anything from exchange to cabinet?

Definitely, they may have swapped a pair for some reason, fixed a bad joint etc.
